Monday 5:00 – 6:00 pm – Low Impact Cardio, Strength & Abs   

    • FUN & FAST-PACED Cardiovascular workout in an air conditioned gym!  Toning & sculpting exercises, using a variety of provided equipment: light hand-held weights, wands, small balls, small hoops, sliders, stability balls, resistance bands; plus 10 minutes of abdominal work on floor, followed by a 20 min full body stretch to tranquil music.
      Each class is different, with a huge variety of exercises to great cardio-pumping tunes! This is a ‘women’s only’ class, safe for 40+ women, and beginners of any age, who want a low impact workout.

You will need a 45-65 cm stability ball (depends on your height) or reserve ahead to borrow a loaner.  Also, please bring an exercise mat, water & clean indoor shoes.

  • This is not a cardio class so it requires less effort but works your core & abdominals in a FUN new way!
  • If unsure about balance sitting on a large ball we also offer WOBBLE Cushions on chairs as a safe alternative with the same benefits!
  • Large air conditioned gym!  Includes 10 minutes of abdominal work on floor, followed by a 20 min full body stretch to tranquil music.

Wednesday 5:00 – 6:00 pm – Low Impact Cardio & Stretch  

Sally’s Dance Fit class has run in other locations & is always popular & always FUN!  Get a GREAT workout (including ‘brain’ work) plus, a fantastic stretch before you leave!

  • Dance Fit will usually increase your heart-rate, which helps to improve your cardiovascular health! You will learn a new dance each week & review others, requiring short-term memory recall, which helps to improve cognitive function.  Moving our bodies to music is an excellent & FUN way to exercise, which improves our circulation & coordination!
  • This class was developed by a certified senior’s fitness professional to be safe for arthritic joints. ‘Easy to follow’ steps, are taught at a comfortable pace for most active older adults & seniors.
  • Participants stand in rows, similar to line dancing.  After a short warm up, we dance for 45 mins (with short breaks) to a vast variety of musical genres, including lots of great ‘golden oldies’!
  • Finale: Chairs come out for a wonderful 15 minute full body stretch, to promote flexibility & help prevent stiffness.
